Since the very beginning of video on the Internet, ViewCast has developed the fundamental driving technologies behind digital video, including our famous Osprey® live video capture hardware to our new Niagara® purpose-built streaming media encoders. From our beginnings in 1994, if you’ve seen video on the Internet, chances are it started with ViewCast. We continue to lead the industry we helped create….and we need skilled people like you to keep us at the top of our game!

We currently seek an energetic and motivated Marketing Director to plan, develop, implement and manage all outward facing Marketing efforts, including market research, content development, marketing communications, public relations/media, events, partner relationships, web presence and ecommerce.  This is a critical leadership role that requires strong cross functional collaboration with the executive team and all departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research ViewCast’s target markets through available market data and direct customer contact
  • Work closely with ViewCast’s executive team to develop marketing strategies and plans
  • Develop the marketing messaging to clearly articulate ViewCast’s value
  • Ownership of ViewCast’s corporate web presence including video content
  • Lead, direct and manage the implementation of strategic marketing plans
  • Manage relationships with ViewCast’s partners
  • Ensure consistent messaging and articulation of ViewCast’s value proposition in all communications
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to employees in marketing department
  • Lead and direct the collection and use of competitive and marketing intelligence
  • Coordinate external communications and product launch strategies
  • Provide messaging and graphics for all special events (trade shows, reseller shows, sales trainings, corporate events, etc.)
  • Manage the creation of content for sales kit marketing materials, brochures, sell sheets, etc.
  • Responsible for ideas to execution for all promotional materials, including but not limited to creation of logos, stationary packages, brochures, trade show signage, print ads, etc
  • Manage outside vendors when utilized
  • Provide channel support for graphics, brochures, online graphics, and other reseller needs to market ViewCast products
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget

  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated competencies in leading outward facing marketing campaigns

Job Description

  • Collaborate on the development of the 2008 Advertising and PR strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to craft key messaging for advertising to include corporate brochure, corporate collateral, print advertising, direct mail, online, etc.
  • Establish strong relationships with media, editors, key industry influencers, Automotive Retail 20 Groups and more with the goal of increasing the company’s visibility with the media and readers.

  • Develop and write dealer announcements for new product or technology launches, new legislative changes, product changes or any other relevant change that needs to be communicated to existing customer base and internal sales team. 
  • Support and coordinate the development of various communications needs of main business lines that include writing copy, print collateral, power point presentations, correspondence, sales brochures and other sales tools.
  • Proofread and edit all customer facing contracts derived from operations to ensure grammatical accuracy and customer understanding

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field is required.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • Strong demonstrated skills in writing, verbal communication, organization, coordination, and presentation development.
  • Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint required with some knowledge of Acrobat Reader and Writer, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design programs preferred.

Must have talent for translating an outlandish Buzz idea into a strategic, defined brand communication. Experience with creative development essential.•A strong understanding of the current Internet ecosystem, Social Media, brand promotional activities and popular trends•Detailed yet flexible thinker: must be nimble enough to respond quickly to changing circumstances, but careful and detailed in thinking, strategy and execution.•Has an understanding of sales organization needs and basic marketing fundamentals such as marketing strategy, advertising basics and media terms, brand positioning and identity. The ability to strategize, pitch and sell advertising and marketing programs to clients.•Solid presentation/communication skills: ability to persuade others about what’s needed to get Buzz projects done•Extremely organized and willing to implement down to the smallest detail•Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint•Demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Flash, HTML, Javascript and other web-based technologies.•Experience with information architecture, wireframes, user interaction models•At least 3 years of experience with project or product management of online creative deliverables including websites, banner ads, email and promotions. Experience with offline elements such as print ads, collateral, event spaces and promotions helpful but not required.•Proven record of client management successes.•Ability to juggle multiple projects at a very fast pace.•Budget tracking.
