Position Overview
The Marketing Manager Texas provides marketing and public relations leadership and support to offices in Dallas and Houston.
The Marketing Manager collaborates with colleagues to achieve target market brand awareness and market penetration goals through the development and execution of strategic marketing plans.
Primary responsibilities include managing and/or assisting with the execution of key initiatives in the areas of marketing, public relations, advertising, conferences, seminars, affinity groups, data management, direct mail and research.
Position reports to two Managing Consultants.
An indirect reporting relationship also exists with the Regional Field Marketing Director.
Position can be based in Dallas or Houston.
Responsibilities Partner with Managing Consultants to determine strategic marketing goals, objectives, messages, and target lists.
Take the lead in developing and implementing measurable, integrated marketing plans aligned with regional direction.
Coordinate the deployment of global and/or regional marketing initiatives to assigned markets.
Develop strategies and tactics designed to help engage fellow associates in opportunities to build stronger client relationships and foster new business development activities within the target market.
This includes:
• Developing and maintaining active media relations, speakers bureau and association relations programs.
• Identifying opportunities to participate in key conferences and managing related activities.
• Negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
o Managing affinity groups, events and seminars, and implementing effective follow-up activities.
• Overseeing direct mail and email initiatives.
• Creating internal and external awareness of key initiatives.
• Tracking, analyzing, and reporting results to determine ROI and marketing effectiveness, and formulating and implementing action plans. Serve as the CRM database manager.
Tasks include:
• Ensuring ongoing data completeness, quality and integrity within the marketing territory and for all assigned target market organizations.
• Proactively developing lists, creating reports and managing flags.
• Engaging, educating and training associates on database functionality and reports.
• Overseeing office-wide CRM use and compliance to the firms data requirements. Prepare gap analyses for local initiatives, analyze results and make recommendations to leadership team based on findings.
• Ensure that local initiatives are managed according to the firm?s brand standards and protocols.
• Develop and manage marketing, charitable giving and group entertainment budgets.
• Practice sound financial management and keep expenses within budget. Provide work direction to a marketing coordinator. Confer with Managing Consultants and Regional Field Marketing Director on staff-related issues.
• Serve as a marketing and public relations consultant and resource to other associates as needs arise.
