SMU – Meadows School of the Arts/Marketing
The Senior Designer will be responsible for designing original digital and print communications for Meadows School of the Arts and Meadows Museum that best interpret organizational strategic messages to desired target audiences and are consistent with university bran guidelines.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Designing and laying out print and digital communications;
Supervising print processes;
Planning and reporting of production; >li>Researching and incorporating industry best practices into Meadows marketing plans.
NOTES:
Additional Salary Information: Salary range: Low to mid 40’s
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of work experience in design is required. Experience with graphic design is essential.
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of logistics used in digital communications, print production, and direct mail. Must also demonstrate ability to interpret messages and understand different audiences. The ability to create original graphic design that strategically communicates desired messages to target audiences is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of constituencies. The ability to effectively present ideas to clients and SMU constituents is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate ability to plan projects within allotted budget. Must also possess ability to work off of a plan. The ability to work independently with minimum supervision is essential.
Candidates must possess strong project-management and organizational skills to effectively work on simultaneous projects. Must also possess a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
Candidates must possess strong problem solving skills and take the initiative to solve issues. Demonstrate design sense (well produced campaigns) is essential.
