Email Marketing Analyst (Dallas TX)

Email Marketing Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Capture the essence of the whole job in one or two sentences.

Maintain, Support Systems that allow Company to execute effective Email Marketing Program. In addition, this person will also execute email programs with the guidance of the Digital Marketing Team. Produce required Tracking Reports.

JOB FUNCTIONS: List major job functions using simple task statements. For example: Supervises the construction of all new restaurants. (Include % of time spent on each function.)

· Executing, coordinating, and analyzing email marketing programs supporting multiple marketing objectives
· Maintaining and Supporting all the APIs with external applications like Exacttarget, Google Analytics
· Continually testing, analyzing and optimizing target criteria, content, landing pages, forms, etc. to increase open, click, lead, and application rates and exceed expectations.
· Providing comprehensive tracking, analysis, and reporting for all email marketing efforts.
· Execute email segmentation strategy and contact plans to increase customer retention.
· Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports measuring the performance of email conversion, in particular the number of campaigns sent, open rates, click through rates, total value of sales, increased retention and impact on lifetime value of the customers

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: List positions or external contacts with whom this person interacts regularly.

Works with other developers, PH Digital Marketing Team, and ExactTarget Email Marketing Vendor

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED: State formal educational level and experience required for the job . State additional professional, technical or years of experience required.

· +2 years work experience in email marketing, ideally B2C experience
· Experience with email deployment software such as ExactTarget, CheetahMail, Responsys, etc.
· Common Knowledge of Web Services, and Basic Programming Skills (Java, .Net, PHP)
· Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience using email distribution to evaluate campaign performance.
· Ability to use reporting, and programming tools like MicroStrategy, Eclipse, Visual Studio etc.
· Ability to strategically interpret data and successfully develop recommendations.
· Solid writing skills, particularly the ability to organize information succinctly and logically for providing metrics
· Exceptional communication, organizational skills

· Bachelor’s degree. (MIS, Business Computer Information Systems, Computer Science)

Description

The Database Manager manages database production teams, resources and activities in support of technology solutions that Targetbase provides for their assigned client(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages design, development, quality assurance, implementation and on-going maintenance of technology solutions to meet current and future client needs.
Manages the development, execution, scheduling and quality of all IM activities to support standard and ad hoc client requests. This may include coordination of activities across competencies within Targetbase, the client, external partners and vendors.
Responsible for hiring, training and development of team and direct reports to support job responsibilities and assignments.
Defines and establishes individual career goals and paths through personal development plans, coaching, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training. Provides timely, constructive and ongoing performance feedback through coaching sessions and performance reviews.

Monitors actual time and costs for completed projects vs. estimated time and costs to identify areas for process improvement, revised estimating techniques, and new training needs. Identifies requests outside the scope of the original SOW and takes appropriate action.
Identifies, prioritizes, and implements process improvements providing positive impact to time, cost and/or quality of technology deliverables. Examples of process improvements include automation of repetitive processing, processing frequency changes, campaign consolidation, integrating different tool sets, paperless processing, standard operating procedures, team training, etc.
Provides appropriate and timely written and verbal communications internally/externally regarding IM activities.
Proactively participates in Targetbase initiatives and the improvement and support of Targetbase Technology Solutions.

Required Skills

Thorough understanding of ETL, Campaign Management, and BI Reporting applications (Targetbase primarily uses Informatica, Unica, Business Objects, Brio Query, and SAS).
Direct Marketing (all-line) experience and thorough understanding of marketing concepts.
Project Management experience.
People Management experience.
Performance Management & People Development Experience.
Strategic Thinking and Leadership.
Experience with Data Mining and Analytical Tools a plus.
Conceptual Knowledge and/or Experience with Standard Analytical Techniques such as Segmentation, Customer Value Modeling, Predictive modeling, etc. a plus.

Required Experience

Degree and/or 5+ years overall experience in technology solutions.
Proven senior-level technical ability in the field of information technology/data processing.

Generate reporting and performance insights for key ecommerce strategies.
Analyze top line metrics to unearth major trends and drivers.
Analyze marketing channels and make recommendations based on findings.
Provide Coremetrics client support, addressing client questions and concerns in a timely manner with clear communication.
Provide sales and ROI analysis for justification and prioritization of proposed eCommerce initiatives.
Support ad-hoc requests for site performance and customer engagement data and reports.
